I’m Brian, and I’m glad you’re here.
I grew up in a small farming town in Kansas. It was a town that looked quiet from the outside, but it wasn’t. The chaos taught me to stay calm when everything around me wasn’t, a lesson that carried me through nearly two decades serving alongside some incredible people in the Special Operations community, aviation, and software.
Pottery was something I loved long before the military, but life pulled me away from it for almost twenty years. In 2020, I found my way back to the wheel, making farewell beer steins and squadron mugs for friends. A few mugs turned into several hundreds.
Some of the people I’ve made pottery for never came home. Others finished careers most people will never hear about. Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t just making mugs, I was preserving memories, unit heritage, and stories worth holding onto.
Not everything I make is military. You’ll also find inspiration from the mountains, the American West, and places that remind us to slow down.
Thanks for being here. I hope one of my pieces becomes part of your own story.
